A soft doll also known as a rag doll is a traditional children's toy made out of scraps of material. They are one of the oldest toys in existence dating back to the Egyptians. They have simple features, soft bodies and hair.

Product care: See product label. For light cleaning, wipe surface of this toy with soapy water and a damp cloth. As a precaution, check regularly and do not give to babies or children if worn or damaged. Do not leave in direct sunlight.

Our dolls are made from various materials, including 100% cotton, organic cotton, linen and super soft polyester. You can search by material type in our shop navigation.

Yes we do have several organic dolls to choose. See our Organic Collection. The rest of our dolls include non organic cotton, linen and man made fibres.

Yes they have. Our Bonikka dolls all comply with European EN71, and US ASTM F963 Standards. 

Please keep information supplied with your doll for future reference. Please ensure that all packaging, attachments and fasteners are removed before giving a doll to your child.

They really are for all age groups but in-particular they are a great comforting toy for young children. Our dolls have also given comfort to the elderly too or people with dementia.

Doll Therapy for Dementia

Rag dolls and soft toys are known to give comfort to elderly people too particularly if they are suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer's for example. We have had customers contact us about the comfort a doll has given to an elderly member of their families.  

Dolls can help people with dementia they can help decrease stress and agitation. They can also give dementia patients a way to feel responsible again by caring and comforting the doll.
